Steps to set up the repo

  1. create a bot in telegram using botfather
  2. get the API token and create a config.cfg file from the config-example.cfg file and add the api key there
  3. create a virtual environment using python3 pip using the command python3 -m venv telegramchatbot
  4. activate the created environment using source telegramchatbot/bin/activate
  5. install all the libs from requirements.txt file using pip install -r requirements.txt
  6. run python server.py to run the server
  7. to deactivate the environment run deactivate
