This repo was recovered through the following method:
- Fork shadowsocks/shadowsocks
git log --all
to find out the latest commits- Confirmed that the tag "2.8.2" was the latest master
git checkout 2.8.2 && git branch master
- Push the new master branch and set it to the default branch on Github
- Delete "rm" branch locally and remotely
This repo is for backup. No plan for development so far.

Debian / Ubuntu:
apt-get install python-pip
pip install shadowsocks
CentOS:
yum install python-setuptools && easy_install pip
pip install shadowsocks
Windows:
ssserver -p 443 -k password -m aes-256-cfb
To run in the background:
sudo ssserver -p 443 -k password -m aes-256-cfb --user nobody -d start
To stop:
sudo ssserver -d stop
To check the log:
sudo less /var/log/shadowsocks.log
Check all the options via -h
. You can also use a Configuration file
instead.
Use GUI clients on your local PC/phones. Check the README of your client for more information.
