Project Overview 📃

The NALO_CPP_MIS (National Aluminium Company Limited - Captive Power Plant Management Information System) is a web application developed to monitor and manage the production processes at the Captive Power Plant of NALCO. It provides real-time data on power generation, consumption, raw material usage, production output, energy consumption, and quality control parameters.

This project was developed as part of an internship at NALCO, a Public Sector Unit (PSU) in India, with the aim of optimizing the efficiency and reliability of the plant while meeting production targets.

The NALO_CPP_MIS system incorporates the following features:

  • Login and Registration: Users can create accounts and securely log in to the system, ensuring authorized access to the MIS.
  • Real-time Data Monitoring: The system collects and displays real-time data on power generation, consumption, raw material usage, production output, energy consumption, and quality control parameters.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:The collected data is analyzed and processed to generate reports, charts, and graphs that aid plant managers and operators in making informed decisions.
  • User Management:The system provides functionalities for managing user accounts, roles, and permissions, ensuring appropriate access to system features.
  • Web Application:The NALO_CPP_MIS is a web application built using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX-Form, PHP, and Bootstrap technologies.

Usage 🌿

To use the NALO_CPP_MIS system, follow these steps:

  1. Clone or download the project repository.
  2. Set up a local web server environment (e.g., XAMPP, WAMP, or similar) on your machine.
  3. Place the project files in the web server's document root directory.
  4. Import the necessary database schema and data provided with the project.(provided:login.sql)
  5. Configure the database connection settings in the system configuration file.
  6. Start the local web server.
  7. Access the system by entering the appropriate URL in your web browser.
