Description

This application will convert any currency amount to and from any of the listed currencies listed on the application page. To use the application, please enter an input amount in the first input box, then refer to the listed currencies on the application page and enter their corresponding currency codes in the second and third input boxes.

Setup/Installation Requirements

Obtain API Key from ExchangeRate-API
- Follow link above to API site.
- Enter email address and click "Get Free Key!" button.
- You'll be prompted to create an account with your email, first name and a password. Agree to the terms of use and click "Get Started!"
- At this point, you'll be able to access a dashboard that includes your API key as well as your remaining API calls for the month.
Clone this repository to your desktop
Navigate to the top of the directory
Open VS Code or other code editor
Add .env file to the top of the directory by typing "touch .env" in your terminal.
Add API key to your .env file with the following format, then save the file.
- API_KEY="Your API Key Here"
Type "npm install" in your terminal
Type "npm run start" in your terminal to open development server in a browser.
