- The first thing to do is to clone the repository:
$ git clone https://github.com/JasbirCodeSpace/StudyHive.git
$ cd StudyHive
- Install virtualenvwrapper
pip install virtualenvwrapper
- Create a virtual environment to install dependencies in and activate it:
$ mkvirtualenv studyhive
$ workon studyhive
- Then install the dependencies:
(studyhive)$ pip install -r requirements.txt

Note the
(studyhive)
in front of the prompt. This indicates that this terminal session operates in a virtual environment set up byvirtualenvwrapper

Once
pip
has finished downloading the dependencies:
(studyhive)$ python manage.py runserver
propagating changes you make to your models (adding a field, deleting a model, etc.) into your database schema
(studyhive)$ python manage.py makemigrations
(studyhive)$ python manage.py migrate
