Userscripts can be used to modify websites to your liking using Javascript in the Browser. This works without installing external extensions and you can readily inspect the code. Here are some I built.
Get Violentmonkey for Chrome or Tampermonkey for Chrome or Greasemonkey for Firefox.
- Click on Script you want
- Click on RAW
- This takes you to Violentmonkey / Greasemonkey / Tampermonkey
- Click on Install
