LCDMenuLib vs LCDMenuLib2

  • LCDMenuLib2 is a new version and not backward compatible to this version
  • The following things have been changed
  • complete rewritten version of LCDMenuLib, because the scope of the makros was too complex to add new functionality.
  • remove the backend system (you can use every other task system)
  • remove the hidden groups (limited to 8) and add a new system to handle hidden elements without a limitation
  • add: a screensaver functionality
  • add: esp32 and esp8266 support without using special makros
  • add: a method to change parameters directly in the menu (without calling a menu function) or add a time
  • add: multi language support (not all special characters [based on the hd44780])
  • add: parameters can used on jumpToFunc or jumpToID functions
  • add: a function to set the cursor direct to an element of the menu

The LCDMenuLib2 is complexer for beginners. All normal menus with no special things can be released with LCDMenuLib.
