Installation

To get started with J-Locator, follow these steps to set up the application on your local machine:

Prerequisites

  • Python 3.x
  • pip (Python package manager)
  • Virtual Environment (Recommended)

Setup

  1. Clone the Repository:

    git clone https://github.com/your-username/j-locator.git
    cd j-locator
  2. Create and Activate a Virtual Environment:

    python -m venv venv
    source venv/bin/activate   # On Windows: venv\Scripts\activate
  3. Install Dependencies:

    pip install -r requirements.txt
  4. Configure API Keys:

    Create a file named .env in the root directory and add your API keys:

    GOOGLE_MAPS_API_KEY=your_google_maps_api_key
    
  5. Run the Application:

    python app.py
  6. Open the Web Interface:

    Open your web browser and go to http://localhost:5000 to use the J-Locator interface.

Usage

  1. Input Phone Number:

    Enter the phone number you wish to locate into the input field on the J-Locator web interface.

  2. View Results:

    The application will display the country, region, city, and carrier details associated with the phone number. Future updates may include street-level location information.
