Ruby on Rails Independent Project: Tech Flashcard-Dictionary_

Description

This web application allows user to save different words and then add definition to them. User is able to create, edit and remove both words and definitions

Project Objectives

  • Does your code meet general coding standards (commits, spacing, naming, etc)?
  • Is there thorough test coverage - unit and integration?
  • Do your routes follow proper convention including a root route?
  • Is your application logic in the models (not the controller)?
  • Did you use success and error flash messages?
  • Are form and route helpers present and functioning?
  • Does the app use the asset pipeline for Bootstrap/CSS?
  • Does the application work?

Setup/Installation Requirements

  • clone this repository
  • bundle
  • postgress
  • rails db:create
  • rails db:migrate
  • rails db:test:prepare
  • rails s

This project currently uses Facebook for authentication. Rename example.env to '.env' in the project and set the Facebook API authentication after visiting https://developers.facebook.com/:

  • FACEBOOK_ID
  • FACEBOOK_SECRET
  • FACEBOOK_CALLBACK_URL
