FPBlockAverager is a Python class and command-line tool used to estimate the standard error of time-correlated data using the block-averaging method of Flyvbjerg and Petersen, as described in Flyvbjerg, H., and Petersen, H. G. Error estimates on averages of correlated data. Journal of Chemical Physics. 1989. 91 (1). 461-466.
FPBlockAverager supports Python 2.7 and 3.4, and requires the following packages:
- numpy
- pandas
The following packges are also supported for visualization (implementation in progress):
- matplotlib
- seaborn
FPBlockAverager has been tested with Anaconda Python 2.2.0 on Arch Linux, OSX Yosemite, and Windows 8.1.
FPBlockAverager is developed by Karl T. Debiec, a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh advised by Professors Lillian T. Chong and Angela M. Gronenborn.
