My Travel Journal
My Travel Journal is a web application that helps users keep track of their upcoming trips. My Travel Journal also helps users remember what they liked and didn't like about a location upon their return.
Background
This Ruby on Rails application utilizes the Facebook API and OmniAuth gem for login, as well as the Mandrill API to send custom HTML emails to users after a trip is entered. JavaScript accordions and CSS modals hide and render user data. JavaScript calculator helps users estimate trip budget. Datepicker allows users to set trip date directly from calendar. In-line editing allows users to easily add to their trips.
Usage
Log in with Facebook and enter your new trip. Use the calculator to stay on budget. Once you return, use the in-line editing feature to keep track of what you liked and didn't like about your trip.
