MP game minimap unequal visibility of different colors

Usually in games where you can choose your color it will not give you any advantage/disadvantage, its just personal preferences.
But in Remake players with some colors will have advantages against others. Its because colors visibility is significally different on minimap.
Here is an example: 50 units in 1 group for 7 teams with different colors:
You can see, that some colors can be barely seen on special surfaces (white on ice, green on grass, yellow on sand etc), even further - gray color is almost invisible on any surface (except ice, probably). While bright or unnatural colors, such as red, orange, blue etc are very easy to spot on the minimap.
This makes game unequal. And sometimes you would like to take gray color, instead of your favorite color because it gives you small, but advantage.
It should be fixes in some way.
Possible solutions:
- make new mode for minimap - "player assets/ally assets/ enemy assets" (green/yellow/red f.e.)
- make outline for assets on minimap
- somehow make all colors to have same visibility on minimap on all surfaces
- ??
This is very annoying to find gray enemy soldiers in your own city, while you can't hide your red one same way.
I agree this problem needs fixing.
Enemy/ally mode for the minimap sounds like a good solution to me. Maybe bright red for enemies and bright blue for allies?
Maybe this could be implemented as a blurred outline around the player's original colour? Kind of like the purple outline in this screenshot but smaller: (so in this case purple is the allied/enemy colour and red is the player's colour)

A fuzzy outline that fades to transparent a few pixels away from the asset. This should mean even a single knight sneaking into your base will be visible on the minimap as a fuzzy red circle around the player colour dot of the knight.
Sounds like it's worth making some mockups.
Outline is a good idea. Its a mix between both modes: default color mode (like it is now) and fully enemy ally mode (where enemies f.e. are shown not with outline, but with solid red).
So outline should be shown same as fences for fields now - only when assets has borders with other players. Also it would be good to distinguish allies assets as well, not only enemies assets.
There could be a problem, in situations, when f.e. units of two players stay one after another staggered (in chequerwise order). And they have to be distinguish. It could be an outline mess on minimap in that situation.
@Kromster80 what are your thoughts about it ?
