Direct contact of blood donor and the recipient is not offered by many of the blood banks.This is critical when there is an emergency in need of blood. Blood donor organizations face difficulties in connecting blood donors and available blood appeals. Particularly in times of emergency, are incredibly exhausting. As a result, we were motivated to create a donor management system that aids blood donation organizations in streamlining the donor management procedure in order to more quickly ascertain eligibility.
The Blood Donor Management system (BDMS) which a web based application, helps to manage the record of donors.The project will provide a direct link between the donor and the recipient. Through web interface a blood bank database is created. In a central server the collected data of a donor is stored. Notification is send to the donor via text message by using bulk message dispatch technique for providing the communication between the donor and the organization. The recipient can also contact the donor with the help of the contact details available or use hashtags. Blood donors can also be searched from the web-application, it is accessible only for registered organisation. The focus is to find elegible blood donors in an emergency situation using available donor details and to provide direct link between the donor and the recipient.
