NOVI Backend - Blog

The goal of the backend project is to develop a system that provides functionalities through a REST API that enables the fictitious media company, called Fake News Media, to offer an online blog to its readers/viewers.

This command is run for Fake News Media. This company is a startup founded by three enthusiastic journalists that started in 2018. In recent years the journalists have managed to build a fairly large audience, several writers have been hired, two part-time moderators work and plans have recently been developed to professionalize and further build the company.

An important part of the business plans is to develop and manage your own system.

Background

In the current situation, Fake News Media relies on a third party called Vender Locked for its online presence outside the major social media channels. This party works on the basis of a pay per blog post subscription model and also charges ridiculously high prices from Fake News Media for hosting and other maintenance.

Both the standard mobile version of the blog app and the standard website provided by Vendor Locked are very similar in layout and design to competitor apps and websites. The only difference is that a different house style is used. Fake News Media has expressed a desire to differentiate itself from the competitors in the market.

Besides the high costs, Fake News Media has a need for extra functionalities that the standard platform of Vender Locked does not offer.

The management of Fake News Media has decided to hire a developer and to develop a custom blog system through close collaboration.
