This is a Java Telegram bot repository using the Telegram Bot API.

Introduction

This repository contains a Java-based Telegram bot that utilizes the Telegram Bot API. It allows you to create and manage a bot on the Telegram platform using the Telegram BotFather.

Installation

To use this bot, follow these steps:

  1. Clone or download this repository to your local machine.
  2. Register a new bot on Telegram using the BotFather. You will receive a token for your bot.
  3. Open the project in your preferred Java IDE.
  4. Replace the SET-BOT-TOKEN placeholder in the MyFirstTelegramBot.java with your actual bot token.
  5. Replace the SET-BOT-NAME placeholder in the MyFirstTelegramBot.java with your actual bot name.
  6. Compile and run the Java application.
  7. Start chatting with your bot on Telegram!

Instructions

Once you have downloaded the project and replaced the bot token, follow these steps to run the bot:

  1. Open the project in your Java IDE.
  2. Compile the project to ensure there are no errors. (Only SLF4J warning, no logs)
  3. Run the main Java class to start the bot. (MyFirstTelegramBot.java)
  4. Your bot should now be active on Telegram. You can interact with it through the Telegram app.
