Full stack app for Neonatal ICU parents to share their experience in the hospital. This is a test demo for my 100hrs project.
[https://preemies-journal.herokuapp.com/]Using the MVC framework, Google OAuth and passport.js for authentication, users can log on to their profile to update, add or delete stories of their Neonatal ICU experience. They are able to see public stories from same users but do not have the option to edit or delete. This function was allowed to serve as inspiration for other users who are currently undergoing the same experience(babies in the NICU). However, there is an option for private stories where other users are unable to see or access stories that aren't theirs. The purple theme for this project represents and supports World Prematurity Day.
Stories for this project are fictional and based off of my experience working as a Neonatal ICU nurse.
I learned about the Google authentication and passport js as well as seeing the MVC framework at work. I also discovered faster ways to achieve design. Furthermore, this project is a demo and similar to my 100hrs passion project idea. This was more of a test out the functionality of my 100hrs passion project.
