Unable to open blast output in demo

I was checking out the demo and saw there was a button to open your own file, however it seems like this file opener has an error in syntax and then isn't hooked up to anything even after syntax error is fixed.
Would be a cool feature to have in any case, or if there are instructions to set it up on your own data would be great.

Hi Matt,
Thanks for answering this. Sean and I took a look at the code and realized that it was a very old and experimental project by you and Evan. I don’t think we have the time/expertise to dig into it to add that functionality. If you happen to have the time, that would be great, but this may just be abandoned code as we ended up implementing another dotplot visualizer: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28334338 <https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/28334338>
using technology developed by Carlos Scheidegger. Colin, you may want to look at that dotplot code as it is much more scalable than our original prototype.
Best,
-eric

It appears that we had the idea to upload a blast output file but never finished it! This project was experimental and we eventually abandoned it. I may have some time to fix it in the near future, or perhaps the current maintainers ***@***.*** <https://github.com/sdavey> and @elyons <https://github.com/elyons>) would be willing to take a look.

Thanks for the info! I like the idea of the lightweight javascript dotplot, but I will take a look at the new SynMap visualizer too!
