/protected-routes-with-supabase-nextjs-example

This is an example app showing protected routes in NextJS with Supabase user management

Primary LanguageJavaScript

This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app that allows new users to be registered to a Supabase database.

Getting Started

Set up a project in Supabase https://supabase.io/ and configure your env variables to have:

export SUPABASE_KEY="SUPABASEKEYFROMSETTINGSSCREEN"
export SUPABASE_URL="SUPABASEURLFROMSETTINGSSCREEN"
export PRODUCTION_URL="www.example.com" # should point to your production URL, the PRODUCTION_URL is only used when not in the dev environment.

For more context on how this application works check out my article on Creating Protected Routes In NextJS With Supabase.

The key and URL values should be replaced with those found in your Supabase project.

First, run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.js. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
