Mission 176 will execute a launch from the Iowa State Fairgrounds and will fly cards carrying messages of peace in both English and Binary. A secondary objective is to test the Athena Payload Support Computer and to record video of a rubber duck because why not.

  • NOTAM must be filed since launching from Class C airspace
  • Spacecraft and Flight must follow all FAA FAR 101 rules and regulations
  • Flight path must not travel more than 70 miles from Mission Control (Howe Hall, Ames, IA)
  • The payload must not exceed 3 kg
  • Spacecraft and payload must pass integration and inspection from Professor Nelson
