Production Install

Tested on Linux version 2.6.18-028stab101.1 with Apache/2.2.22.

Using ssh and git

Clone repository into web directory and checkout master branch.

cd /path/to/web
git clone https://github.com/MAP-Productions/Curious-City.git
git checkout master

To connect to Google Spreadsheets API:

  • Copy php/config.php.dist to php/config.dist and enter appropriate credentials

To automate question retrieval:

  • Set up a cron job to run php/questions_update.php

The app runs from aggregated JavaScript files located in js_min. To update these files after making edits to js files located in the app folder run:

node aggregate_final.js

(This requires NodeJS to be installed. For the latest version of Node, vist: http://nodejs.org/)
