Qoutable Quotes 💭

Welcome to the Qoutable Quotes project! In this project, you can add your favorite quotes and their authors. Follow the steps below to get started.

Fork the Repository

  1. Click the "Fork" button at the top-right corner of this repository. This action will create a copy of the project in your GitHub account.

Clone Your Forked Repository

  1. Open your forked repository on GitHub.

  2. Click the "Code" button, and copy the repository URL.

  3. Open your terminal or command prompt.

  4. Navigate to the directory where you want to store your local copy of the project.

  5. Run the following command, replacing <repository-url> with the URL you copied:

    git clone <repository-url>
    

Add Your Favorite Quotes

  1. Navigate to the project directory using the cd command.
  2. Open the index.html file in your text editor.
  3. Find the JavaScript section that contains the list of quotes:

   "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans. - John Lennon",
   "In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity. - Albert Einstein",

  1. Add your favorite quote and its author to the list. Follow the format:
"Your favorite quote here. - Author Name"
  1. Save the index.html file.

Commit and Push Changes

  1. In your terminal or command prompt, navigate to the project directory.
  2. Run the following commands to commit your changes and push them to your GitHub repository:
    git add index.html
    git commit -m "Added my favorite quote"
    git push origin main
    

Create a Pull Request

  1. Open your forked repository on GitHub.

  2. Click the "Pull Request" button.

  3. Review your changes, and click the "Create Pull Request" button.

  4. Provide a title and description for your pull request, then click "Create Pull Request."
