Reproduction steps:
- Clone this repo
- Open VSCode and open a terminal panel within VSCode in the repo
- Initialise yarn and install the
aws-cdk
dependency by runningyarn
- Run
echo $NODE_OPTIONS
- it should show that the VSCode bootloader is being injected, something like--require $HOME/.vscode-server/data/User/workspaceStorage/$UUID/ms-vscode.js-debug/bootloader.js
- Run
yarn cdk
- This should hang - Unset the
NODE_OPTIONS
var to remove the VSCode bootloader withunset NODE_OPTIONS
- Run
yarn cdk
- CDK will display its help text.
Reproducible with:
