"Market unable to open md file"

Markedit can create new md file but cannot open a md file.

Thanks for reporting, was the file created by MarkEdit? Could you please explain reproduce steps with a screen recording? It would be great to know your OS version and MarkEdit version.

I just tried several scenarios without reproducing the issue you mentioned.

If the file was created by other applications, could you please share it out? (don't share any sensitive data that could compromise your privacy)

That is interesting since the Mac App Store version wasn't updated recently. I am always on the latest macOS build, haven't observed such an issue.

Have you tried re-installing the app or re-booting the system?

Also, maybe worth trying different ways to open a file, such as double clicking in Finder or right click and select open with MarkEdit.

@spiljj Sonoma 14.3 is now generally available, could you please try if upgrading the system resolves the problem? I am a bit running out of ideas to be honest. Thanks.
