Overwatch Anniversary Update

A recent update to Overwatch does not allow RETC to work. I restarted the service and also reinstalled RETC to see if that would help but that does not seem to fix the issue. Would appreciate any support or leads in how to troubleshoot. Thanks!

Are you using the old Corsair Utility Engine or the new iCUE?

Can confirm that effects are not playing for Overwatch. Checked Warframe and Killing Floor 2 and those do work. iCUE 3.16.56 and Overwatch Anniversary.

I can also confirm this is not working. Corsair icue 3.16.56 and Overwatch (May 21 update)

We had the same problem with Aurora and we suspect blizzard implemented signature checking on the dll as per razer's instructions. This makes it so the game only loads the chroma dll it it finds a valid Razer signature on the file, preventing modified dlls from working. :(

Confirmed here - same issue. Guess they finally found a way to lock us out! Unfortunate.

If this is the end for this incredible piece of software, thanks again @MartB for all the effort!

It kinda is the end of the dll replacement way, but im certain there is atleast one other way, that works.
However my short adventure into this path did not end in a working prototype. (more like a buggy mess heh)
Maybe i can figure something out in a few months, although im not sure if what i have planned is even remotely feasible.

For everyone using this library for other software this isnt such a big deal so its certainly not the end for me. Albeit its sad to see Overwatch on the non-compatible list.

Made an account just to thank you for everything you have done with this.
Been using this for awhile and i loved it! So sad to hear that it no longer works anymore.. hopefully something can be sorted, I dont like using those pre made ones where you have to use macros to change hero lighting

@MartB I got good news for you, message me on discord

@QuiNz0r i added you.

I'm interested in this as well. I have been working on reverse engineering other RGB devices mainly but I did hack together my own Razer Chroma SDK replacement DLL and just wrote the code in to pipe Razer calls to my open source Aura app. Overwatch doesn't work, though it used to with a previous version of my DLL. I'd like to know of any workarounds as well. Part of my goal was to eventually use the DLL in Wine to work on Linux.

There is a fully working private version of aurora which only needs the chroma sdk installed. I guess it will be merged soon to the master. Message me in the aurora discord (Quin) if you want to know Details

Great news that there is a fix again. Looking forward to the update to be able to use
