Installation

To install the Chrome extension, follow these steps:

  1. Click the drop-down arrow next to the green code button on the top right of this page, and click "Download ZIP".
  2. Unzip the folder to a destination you won't forget.
  3. Open Google Chrome and type chrome://extensions/ in the address bar.
  4. Enable the "Developer mode" toggle switch located at the top right corner of the page.
  5. Click on the "Load unpacked" button.
  6. Select the folder you unziped a few steps ago.
  7. The extension will be loaded and ready to use.

Usage

Once the extension is installed, you can use it by following these steps:

  1. Once loaded into a Gimkit question, right click anywhere on the page and select the "Translate to X language".
  2. Change the Chrome translater to your desired language. ie: If the questions are in English, you would want to translate to Spanish, as that will be the answer.
  3. Click on the Chrome extension icon in the top right of chrome (it might be hidden underneath the puzzle icon, you can pin it for easy access later).
  4. Click the "Allow Translate!" button to start allowing Chrome to translate the page.
  5. After answering a Gimkit question you will need to go back and click on the extenstion and click "Allow Translate! again. (This will be fixed in a future release 🤞)
