To install the Chrome extension, follow these steps:
- Click the drop-down arrow next to the green code button on the top right of this page, and click "Download ZIP".
- Unzip the folder to a destination you won't forget.
- Open Google Chrome and type
chrome://extensions/in the address bar. - Enable the "Developer mode" toggle switch located at the top right corner of the page.
- Click on the "Load unpacked" button.
- Select the folder you unziped a few steps ago.
- The extension will be loaded and ready to use.
Once the extension is installed, you can use it by following these steps:
- Once loaded into a Gimkit question, right click anywhere on the page and select the "Translate to X language".
- Change the Chrome translater to your desired language. ie: If the questions are in English, you would want to translate to Spanish, as that will be the answer.
- Click on the Chrome extension icon in the top right of chrome (it might be hidden underneath the puzzle icon, you can pin it for easy access later).
- Click the "Allow Translate!" button to start allowing Chrome to translate the page.
- After answering a Gimkit question you will need to go back and click on the extenstion and click "Allow Translate! again. (This will be fixed in a future release 🤞)
