Module:02

Lab/Demo: 04

Task: 01

Step: 00

I ma preparing the PL900 course for french audience and using the official training materials in french. On the LAB manuel students are pointed to the english versionof dataimport solution in wich all the field names are in english where students are asked in the lab manual to create the needed tables with french names. Thus the import of the solution failes.
Either the link on the lab document has not been upgraded or the files for french version are not ready.

Any answer about that ?

@yodo94, I apologize but I do not think we have a way to change the dataimport solution to be localized for French. Your students would need to use the English words for the tables and columns in these labs. I am working with our localization team to ensure those are not translated from English to French, so that the dataimport solution works for you.

I see. Thank you for all of the information. I have passed along to the localization team that they do not need to translate the names of tables and columns, because they need to remain in English. I apologize for the confusion this localization has caused! We will get it resolved as soon as possible.

Can you explain? The dataimport solution will only work if the tables and columns are in English.

I was suggesting that we still provide the French translation, but keep the table and column names in English. So that French users can follow the French lab steps, just using the English words for their data model. Then, the dataimport solution will work as well.

That is an interesting perspective. I was speaking to what the localization team offered to do, so I will discuss with them on our options. Thank you for your valuable feedback!
