Siggy is a naive, source file-based function search tool for Scala. It uses Scalameta to find type signatures in source files.
Goals:
- Provide a quick-and-dirty way to search for method definitions
- Have a fast startup time
- Show how easily Scalameta can be used to create dev tools
- Use types as queries
Non-goals:
- Support every type signature under the sun
- Support type aliasing with generics
- Support macro-generated classes and objects
- Be used for autocompletion
siggy <path> [query]
Searches a given file or directory for all methods. When a query is specified, only the methods that match the query are shown.
A query has the format [TypeParams, ...] Type1 => Type2 => ... => ReturnType.
Example: siggy foo.scala "Int => String"
