A research project: Part of the Communities at Sea project.
Exploratory research to investigate the impacts of climate on fishing behavior. This will be achieved by linking an Atlantis Ecosystem model to an economic model.
Step 1. Define fishing fleets by port, gear type, vessel size using fishing data
Step 2. Parameterize Atlantis model to replicate landings spatially by defined fleets
Step 3. Run alternative climate scenarios
Step 4. Link atlantis model output to NERIOM model to assess economic impact.
