Defraser is a forensic analysis application that can be used to detect full and partial multimedia files in data streams. It is typically used to find (and restore) complete or partial video files in data streams (for instance, unallocated disk space).

The following file formats and encodings are currently supported: Container formats: MPEG-1, -2 and -4 Video, H.263, H.264 Video encodings: MPEG-1 and -2 Systems, AVI, MP4/3GPP/QT, ASF/WMV
