discord-bot-template

A simple template for quickly creating discord bots.

Requirements

To download and use this repo, you need these programs downloaded:

Node.js v17 or later
Git installed on your system

Installation

To install, you need to run these commands in a command prompt window:

git clone https://github.com/Nissekissen/discord-bot-template
cd discord-bot-template
npm install

After the finishing hte configuration, you can now run

npm start

to start the bot.

Configuration

To configure the bot, you need to make a copy of the config_.json file and rename it to config.json. You also need to fill it up with the clientId, guildId and token for the bot.
