GoogleIt

Surfing the web in the easiest way with python.

Introduction

In this program , I tried to create an environment where you can find the weblinks for a subject from google.

This program is easy to install and easy to use, and it has the ability of safe search, where our firewall will block the websites that are unsafe.

Install

If you are using "linux" operating system, I created an installer package for this program, before you do anything, just download the "install" folder and then open it. Execute the installer file :

./installer.sh

or just double click on it.

Installer file will check for your python and pip installation , and then it installs "venv" for you, after that it installs "unzip" if needed.

After you execute the file, it will create a folder named "googleit" for you. So you can add all of the files of program into it and go for commands.

Commands

Before you do anything, since the program tools storage was too much, I created an virtual environment for you on your system. For working with program you need to get into the virtual environment first by entering this command :

source env/bin/activate

And for getting out of virtual environment enter :

deactivate

Our main file is index, so you can run the program with :

python3 index.py

Default query is "google", so for setting the query you want use "-q" like this :

python3 index.py -q "java script"

You can set the output file name , if you don't it will set it as the query :

python3 index.py -q "java" -o "myresult"

For having a safe search and using firewall , just add "-s" to your command :

python3 index.py -q "maven" -s

Each web searching for safe search has a timeout, you can set the timeout like this :

python3 index.py -q "xml" -s -t 5

Final words

In this program , my target was to surf the web in a safe way, and save the links that I want.
