Please join us in rebooting the Chicago R User Group with an evening of lightning talks and an open mic, live and in person!
Doors open at 5:00, talks begin at 5:30ish!
The pandemic kept many of us inside, writing copious amounts of new code for our hobbies & jobs. In the spirit of Open Source we welcome you, Chicagoland R users, to attend and consider contributing a short talk on the novel work you're proud of. As always, slides including simple code that can be displayed in a readable way is encouraged. Register here to present and/or just Bring Your Own Slide Deck!

** We are monitoring daily infection counts (currently falling) and will adjust the parameters of this event based on guidance from the City of Chicago and local experts in the field **
As vaccination rates continue to increase, Governor Pritzker has issued guidelines for all Illinois Businesses to reopen on June 11th! In step with the Governor, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has moved up the city's time table to match the state of Illinois, and will also fully reopen on June 11th!
Given our commitment to gathering safely, we are incentivizing vaccination of all in attendance by giving you FREE beverage tickets if you can display proof of receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. So bring your vaccine card and enjoy a beverage! 🍷🍻 🍷🍻
But wait...there's more! You may also receive a free plastic sleeve to protect your vaccine card. However, in the spirit of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle ♻ (hat tip, Troy Hernandez) you should reuse one of the many lanyards you've acquired from the conference circuit if possible.
If you aren't vaccinated, you still have time as doses are becoming widely available! Please visit the Illinois Department of Health COVID-19 Vaccine FAQ page for more details.
As always, please reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you live and in person at the Haymarket Pub & Brewery soon!
