Shopping Site (Node.js)

A shopping site(standalone) built based on Node.js. The site is completely server rendered using EJS templating and Express JS. If you signup using a valid email, you can also get signup mail and password reset mail. This is possible with the help of SendGrid.

Getting Started

  1. Create a Sendgrid account, it is quite simple and intuitive browse any youtube video for tutorial.
  2. Store the api key in a .env file in the same format as example env file.
  3. Create a MongoDB account and store the details in the env file you created.

Prerequisites

This is an example of how to list things you need to use the software and how to install them.

  • npm
    npm install npm@latest -g

Installation

  1. Clone the repo
    git clone https://github.com/Praveenterax/nodejs-shopping.git
  2. Install NPM packages
    npm install
  3. Run the following command, if done above steps;
    npm run start-dev
