  • Engaging, practical sessions dedicated to enhancing visualizations and representations, delivering a rapid yet substantial learning opportunity.

4. Assignment 1 - Data_Visualization_1

  • Creating visual representations directly from primary sources. Utilize visualization software like Flourish to reproduce an existing visualization and devising an original version for a more compelling presentation, applying the techniques acquired.

5. Assignment 2 - Critique by Design

  • Identifying a visualization for enhancement, critiquing using a structured approach - data effectiveness profile, and redesigning the data representation using the techniques and tools learnt in class.

6. Final Project

  • Final Project Part I Compiling required data, structured a narrative framework for the data story and generated initial conceptual sketches.

  • Final Project Part II Using storyboard tools to develop the narrative by incorporating initial visualizations, user research and generating feedback for refinements.

  • Final Project Part III Culminating the final polished narrative by reflecting on the gathered feedback and refining visuals.
