Feat: Additions to the BoardGames section

Closed this issue · 6 comments

Describe the feature

The board games section had games listed as "Azul" but apon clicking nothing actually happened.
I would like to add some of the below games and add how-to-play instructions for each of the games too

The games would be:

  • Monopoly
  • Scribble
  • Cluedo
  • Chess
  • Life
  • Stratego
  • Anti Monoply
  • and more..
You may suggest more games too.

I would appreciate it if you could assign this under hacktoberfest2024 and gssoc2024
Thank you!!

Add ScreenShots

  1. Monopoly
Objective: Accumulate wealth by buying, trading, and developing properties to bankrupt opponents.
Instructions: Players take turns rolling two dice and moving around the board. Landing on an unowned property allows you to buy it; landing on an owned property means paying rent. You can trade properties and build houses/hotels. The game ends when one player remains solvent.
  2. Scribble (Scrabble)
Objective: Score points by forming words on the game board using letter tiles.
Instructions: Players draw seven letter tiles and take turns forming words on the board. Each letter has a point value, and words can be placed horizontally or vertically. Double and triple letter/word scores can boost your points. The game ends when all tiles are used or no more words can be formed.
  3. Cluedo (Clue)
Objective: Solve a murder mystery by identifying the murderer, the weapon, and the location.
Instructions: Players move around the board to gather clues by suggesting suspects, weapons, and rooms. Other players must discreetly show cards to confirm or deny suggestions. Players can make an accusation when they think they know the answer, winning the game if correct.
  4. Chess
    Objective: Checkmate your opponent's king.
Instructions: Players take turns moving their pieces according to specific rules. The objective is to threaten the opponent's king with capture (check) and eventually put it in a position where it cannot escape (checkmate). The game ends when one player checkmates the other.
  5. The Game of Life
Objective: Navigate through life’s choices, accumulating wealth and experiences to retire with the most money.
Instructions: Players spin a wheel to move along the game path, making life decisions such as college, careers, and family. Players earn or lose money based on their choices and the spaces they land on. The game ends when players reach retirement, and the one with the most money wins.
  6. Stratego
    Objective: Capture your opponent's flag.
Instructions: Players set up their pieces (which have ranks) on a 10x10 board. Players take turns moving their pieces and attacking opponents’ pieces. Higher-ranked pieces defeat lower-ranked ones, except for the spy, which can capture the marshal. The game ends when one player captures the opponent’s flag.
  7. Anti-Monopoly
Objective: Challenge monopolistic practices and build a successful business empire.
Instructions: Players buy and trade properties to create monopolies while following specific anti-monopoly rules. The game includes special "anti-monopoly" rules and cards that influence gameplay. The game ends when one player drives their opponents into bankruptcy.
