Can you add support for v7 @ 3617xs ? Thank you very much
Technically - yes. Practically it's problematic due to the issues described here: https://github.com/RedPill-TTG/dsm-research/blob/master/quirks/mysteries.md#usb-hot-plug-is-not-functional-some-models
We aren't sure what is causing that. We didn't try v7 on 3617xs yet. However, what's the advantage over 3615 or 918?
Hi,
I guess the only advantage would be to have Max CPU Threads to 16 instead of 8 for those who can't run DS918+ because of haswell limitation.
I don't know if it is really usefull as I always used DS3615XS on my HP Gen8.
I think the advantage of 3617xs is that it has more CPUs, and the maximum NFS support of 3615xs is v4. The latest version of 3617xs supports NFS v4.1..
Another gen8 user here, yes, unfortunatelly we cant run the 918+ loader, and the 3615xs limitations s*cks.
Hope you keep up the work, and do loader for 3617xs.
NVME Support needed not possible with 3615xs
first : thanks you do a great job ! it's work, but on HP GEN 8 the system seem laggy, every things work, but my processor seem don't go up 4 percent, is there a cpu driver missing ? or something. In tiny core linux, do you know how to add a driver for my cpu wich is a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1230 V2 @ 3.30GHz ?
When i start a vm or other thing, it's work but take longs, laggy, i don't understand why
3615xs will be at the end of support with 7.1. no future versions, need to set prio on 3617 or 3620.

DS3622xs+ is available.
