๐ Hi there! I'm Yixin, a sophomore majoring in computation and design-digital media. ๐ I'm deeply enthusiastic about computational economics, and I love diving into new challenges and learning opportunities. ๐ก You'll often find me tinkering with code, exploring the great outdoors ๐ณ, or curled up with a good book ๐ and a cup of coffee โ๏ธ. I believe in the power of community and collaboration, and I'm always eager to connect with fellow enthusiasts and creators. Let's embark on this exciting journey together! ๐
- ๐ฅ Final Reflections:
-
Intellectual Growth: This class has been so enriching, for me it is like a starting journey into the economics. I've gained a basic understanding of key economic concepts such as bounded rationality, game theory, and mechanism design through a lot of cutting-edge research papers, online materials, and engaging class activities facilitated by our professor. What I find truly fascinating about interdisciplinary study is the constant encouragement to think outside of the box, to surpass the achievements of those great minds, and to advance the boundaries of economics by building upon their contributions.
-
Professional Growth: The structure and material covered in the course are carefully designed to provide us with the necessary skills to do academic research from scratch. Throughout the course, I learned to use many practical and professional tools. For instance, I learned how to use existing tools like the Game Theory Explorer and Python package Nashpy for computing Nash Equilibrium across various game scenarios. Additionally, I learned how to utilize Latex coding to automatically format research proposals and how to construct and manage my GitHub page using markdown language. These experiences have greatly contributed to my academic development and represent significant milestones in my growth as a researcher.

Living a Purposeful Life: As a media student with a keen interest in economics, I aspire to pioneer the integration of social media insights into economic analysis, leveraging the profound impact of digital media on people's lives. Winning the Nobel Prize or Turing Award would validate my groundbreaking efforts in bridging the gap between media studies and economics. My feature sentence would be: By harnessing the power of social media analytics, I have reshaped economic analysis, unlocking new perspectives on consumer behavior, market dynamics, and socio-economic trends, ultimately fostering more informed decision-making and sustainable economic growth. This achievement would not only fulfill my personal aspirations but also advance human civilization by enhancing our understanding of the intricate relationship between media, society, and the economy, driving innovation and progress in a multi-objective perspective.
