My Gallery of Pictures

Description

This project is an application that shows pictures in my gallery where users can click the like button to show what they like. You can also click on the picture to get a description and click again to return to the picture.

//UPDATED VERSION// DEVELOP BRANCH You now have the ability to add photos to the gallery! The photos are housed on Amazon S3 server. Likes are also now persistent local data saved in PostgreSQL

Prerequisites

Installation

  1. Open up your editor of choice and run an npm install
  2. Run npm run server in your terminal
  3. Run npm run client in your terminal
  4. The npm run client command will open up a new browser tab for you!

Usage

  1. Click the "like" button to like a picture
  2. Click on a photo to get a description
  3. Click on the description to return to the photo
  4. Click on "add" button add a picture
