Hello, I'd love to get this working in HA and have the add-on installed and running. However, I'm not using (nor have used) MQTT before and am hoping that there's some sort of walk-through in how to set up the sensors.
Can anyone point me in the direction of something which will help me navigate this?

I have no good guide to point you to, but if you install version 0.3.0 (or newer) it will use auto discovery, which will setup the sensors automatically (i.e. you don't have to mess with MQTT).
When that is done, a new device (MG [model] [vin]) will show upp under /config/devices/dashboard, that will contain all the sensors

One other question: if I set this up, will it stop the iSmart app from working (I know it can only be connected from one mobile) or will this run in parallel?

Surpringing myself I actually succeed to set this up.
I installed the "Mosquitto broker" Add-On in HA, then the MQTT integration
Then I was logged out from MG iSmart app so it seems that the connection/user thing only can be logged in at one place :-(
I just want to THANK YOU for your great work! I migrated from OpenHab to Homeassistant - and one reason was the (easier) integration of my MG4. After hours of catching up to get to the status, where I have allready been in OH, one of the most satisfying integrations in HA - without any troubles - was this one! GREAT WORK!! This takes my HA-App to the next level. WOW.
Hi all. I have been trying to set up this integration for a while, but am new to both HA and MQTT. I have the python version 0.5, but the auto discovery isn't working. This must be related to the fact that whenever i start the addon, it shuts down about 15 seconds later, but I'm struggling to be able to tell from the logs what's broken. I've got the mosquito broker intalled and tested it sucessfully.
Anyone know how to help?
