In this project we build a machine learning model to predict loan defaults. We begin with EDA over the dataset. Later we move on to preprocessing, feature extraction, oversampling using SMOTE and finally building the models to generate classification reports.

The project explores the medical specialty dataset comprising of transcriptions for various patients and the corresponding specialization of the medical consultant. The given notebook uses medical_specialty as the target variable for classification, and the transcription as the predictor. We make use of 3 models: Random Forest, LSTM and Bi-LSTM.
