Executing the python scrapper

  • Have python 3 installed
  • Fill username and password variables in the login function with valid instagram credentials
  • Run the following command by replacing [instagram-handler] with a public instagram handler you want to get data for (only works for public accounts)
python insta-followers.py [instagram-handler]
  • Results will be saved in a directory in the following format followers/[instagram-handler]/[timestamp].json
