Question: What to do with SLAC Matching Fail

Closed this issue · 4 comments

Hi,

Platform: WhiteBEET PEV

I am trying to understand under what conditions we will receive the "slac matching fail" and what do we need to do about it?

During our testing with an actual EVSE, we occasionally received "slac matching failed". I tried to stop SLAC session and start SLAC back up then start slac matching again. But this will just keep failing and stuck in a loop. What is the correct way to ensure SLAC matching can be successful?

Thanks,
Xuanlang

Hey @xuanlanghuang,

there are multiple reasons why SLAC matching may fail. Are we talking about an actual PEV using Whitebeet with custom host application? If yes, did you ensure to do a channel estimation and create an amplitude map with attenuation values to load into the whitebeet? If yes, please create log files (wireshark, UART output).

If we are talking about Whitebeet Carrier Board and FreeV2G as host application, please add log files (FreeV2G output, wireshark, UART output).

Also please make sure to enable port mirror. You can read more about creating log files here.

Best regards,
lho

Hi Iho,

Thanks for the information. Currently we are still developing the custom software to work with the Whitebeet. We have not done the channel estimation and create an amplitude map with attenuation values.
