Such as violin plot instead of dotplot for sample specific plot in glMDPlot

This would be awesome. I don't know exactly how you implemented the js code etc. But this might be easily implemented as in d3: https://www.d3-graph-gallery.com/graph/violin_jitter.html the half option would be the best I think.
