with all crazy performance improvements on .net core 2.0 and 2.1, are there any short term plans to migrate to .net core?

Any focus there will probably also bring in "pipelines" (which I have
looked at extensively with a view to this). I'm still talking to MS about a
client pipeline socket provider.
