This project aims to provide a live feed about Ukrainian invasion.
For the sake of security and efficiency, time is a challenge here, and this website has to be bulletproof as much as possible.
We made the following choices so far:
Website shall be accessible via TOR or by users who disabled JS on their browser
Time is a challenge here, no time to learn something common across all the volunteers.
Website has to be designed mobile first, since it is the most used terminal used by the one who need it.
Flask is a lightweight but mature python framework: https://flask.palletsprojects.com/en/2.0.x/
First, install python 3.8+: https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-3910/
Then run in the project directory:
pip install -r requirements.txt

Run the following commands in the project directory.
Windows (cmd):
set FLASK_APP=server
set FLASK_ENV=development
flask run
Linux:
export FLASK_APP=server
export FLASK_ENV=development
flask run
You should be able to access the website at http://127.0.0.1:5000/
