This repository contains data and code to replicate the charts in our international section piece on conquest - on how Vladimir Putin is dragging the world back to a bloodier time.
To replicate the analysis, simply download this repository and run the scripts in the "scripts" folder. This will produce the following charts, which form the basis of those featured in the article.
In addition, one can find the script used to provide the raw data for the opening animation in the script folder. If you see any way to improve this work, please open an issue here, or email sondresolstad@economist.com.
