This repository contains the code and design files for a Power BI E-Commerce Sales Dashboard. The dashboard provides valuable insights into sales data, including the total amount, total profit, total orders, top 5 most selling products, monthly profit, sales by product category, type of payment, and profit by city.
- Total Amount: Displays the overall sales amount over a specified period.
- Total Profit: Shows the total profit generated from the sales.
- Total Orders: Presents the count of total orders placed.
- Top 5 Most Selling Products: Highlights the top 5 products with the highest sales.
- Monthly Profit: Illustrates the profit generated on a month-by-month basis.
- Sales by Product Category: Visualizes the sales distribution across different product categories.
- Type of Payment: Shows the breakdown of sales by different payment methods.
- Profit by City: Displays the profit earned from different cities.
To use this dashboard, follow the steps below:
- Power BI Desktop: Ensure you have Power BI Desktop installed on your machine.
- Sales Data: You will need the sales data in a compatible format (e.g., CSV, Excel) for importing into Power BI.
- Clone this repository to your local machine or download the ZIP file and extract it.
- Open Power BI Desktop.
- Click on "Open" in the Home tab and navigate to the location where you cloned/downloaded the repository.
- Select the Power BI file with the extension
.pbix
from the repository. - Power BI will open the file, and you can start exploring the dashboard.
- Prepare your sales data in a format compatible with Power BI (e.g., CSV, Excel).
- Launch Power BI Desktop.
- Click on "Get Data" in the Home tab and select the appropriate data source (e.g., CSV, Excel).
- Follow the prompts to import your sales data into Power BI.

- Save the changes to your data model.
