Welcome to the World Statistics App! This Android application allows users to explore and compare country statistics, including population, area, currencies, languages, capital cities, flags and coat of arms for each country, if the selected country has a coat of arms.
- View a list of countries.
- Search and filter countries by name.
- Get country details upon selection.
- Compare two selected countries side to side.
- Android Studio: Make sure you have Android Studio installed on your development machine.
- Git: You'll need Git installed to clone the repository.
- Clone the repository: git clone https://github.com/Valdasgrab/World_Statistics.git
- Open the project in Android Studio.
- Sync the Gradle files.
- Run the app on an emulator or a physical device of your choice.
- Launch the app to see the list of countries.
- Use the search bar to find specific countries by name if necessary.
- Tap on a country to view detailed statistics.
- Compare two selected countries by pressing "Compare" button and selecting the second country from the list for comparison.
- This project is using REST COUNTRIES API (https://restcountries.com/) to fetch country information.
- This project is using Glide (https://github.com/bumptech/glide) in order to load images from the API.
