A whatsapp chat clone built using next.js for front-end rendering , firebase for database and deployed on Vercel.

How to use

Step 1: Click on the live link

Step 2: Sign in using your google account

Step 3 Voila! Your account is set up, Now start a new chat with your friend (who has an account already) , for now you can text me rvanshika172@gmail.com

Step 4: After adding your friend, click on the newly created chat --> it will take you to the Chat Screen

Step 5: Now go ahead and have a fun conversation

Step 6 : to Log Out , come back to the home screen and click on your avatar ( at top left corner)

Step 7: You are signed out!

You can find last active time of a person below there avatar in chat screen Happy Messaging!

This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Getting Started

First, run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.js. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.js.

The pages/api directory is mapped to /api/*. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.
