Crowdin guide

Introduction

This simple guide helps you to set up and use crowdin for your Android ROM project.

Prerequisites

Please setup crowdin-cli by following the instructions at https://github.com/crowdin/crowdin-cli-2.

Set up environment variables

Add the following to your .bashrc, and replace the values with your own:

    export CROWDIN_API_KEY=your_api_key
    export CROWDIN_BASE_PATH=your_base_path
    export CROWDIN_PROJECT_NAME=your_project_name

Example:

    export CROWDIN_API_KEY=1234567890abcdefg
    export CROWDIN_BASE_PATH=/home/joshua/vertexos
    export CROWDIN_PROJECT_NAME=vertexos

Uploading sources/translations

Within the directory of your crowdin.yaml file, execute the following:

crowdin upload

Downloading sources/translations

To download all translations (slow):

crowdin download

To download translations from a single language:

crowdin download -l {language_code}

To display a list of latest translations from Crowdin:

crowdin download --dryrun
